The LTC Process
- Take a certified firearms safety course (like mine!) that meets Massachusetts state requirements.
- Receive your official certificate of completion at the end of the class.
- Apply through your local police department, where you’ll submit your certificate, fill out an application, and complete a background check and interview.
- Wait for approval - processing times vary by town, so be sure to ask your department for an estimate.
